What is involved in repairing speedometer? '98 LS400

i banged on the dash and mine started woking just fine. maybe it will help

Hitting on the dash helps, have a more permanent fix? We have to hit on the dash everytime we start.

Hahahaha, i have 2000 ls400 with same issue.

Can banging on the dash affect any other specific parts?

I have been doing this since 2 years now, no problems at all.

thanks u sir i will try your step and let u know i have 200 lexus ls400 problem sticky needle will try your method and see

also i found this company foolish craps about dadadada testing diagnose fees and so on but never give correct amount for repair so i can know.i DO NOT recommend it

Haha... mine started doing it too... seems to be that around 18 years of use it decides to fail.. i just bang on my dash and it pops up.
