Default 91 LS400 coolant sensor locations

Having a strange problem with my temp gauge on the dash, it will spike for a second or two and then return to normal. I am assuming that this is sensor related and due to the fact these sensors are relatively inexpensive, I would go ahead and replace them.

I know the sensor location of the one near the thermostat on the engine, I did replace that sensor not to long ago during tune up. I am also aware of the one on the radiator, which I am gong to go ahead and replace. I am having trouble finding the location of the others. Apparently there are three or four sensors? which one works the dash gauge?

While on the coolant topic, has anyone came up with a fix for the melted goo cap for what I am also guessing is the coolant level sensor on the overflow container?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

if you need a coolant level sensor or overflow container, dont bother looking for new ones. coz the stock parts have been discontinued and you gotta go with new ones if you are hell bent on getting the OEM parts. the better bet it find it in a junk yard. will tell you of a place in CA. I know this coz i ordered these parts yesterday and did a pretty decent research bout this issue. also the new tank will need a new cap and sensor and it all came upto 300 bucks easy. pm me if u have questions...
