1999 Lexus LS400 Driver Seat
The driver seat of my 1999 LS400 comes back fine. But when it's time to pull the seat back forward. it goes a lil and then stalls. Any ideas???

Yea, everything's clear. I originally thought it might have been a relay or some type of electrical issue. But i'm tryin to avoid the dealer, because everytime u go there, u have to pay an arm and a leg. And these days i dont have any limbs to spare.
And billy, there are just 4 bolts holding the seat to the track???

The motor engages but it sounds like it stops when the seat stops moving. And it just makes a click sound when u move the slider on the side of the seat to move it forward. And it slides back and moves forward to a certain point.

It sounds like something is stuck in the railing underneath. Slide the seat all the way back and then remove the front bolts holding the seat down. Slide the seat forward just enough to give you access to the rear bolts and remove them as well. You will likely need a 14 mm socket wrench (preferably with a ratcheting mechanism) to remove the bolts. Once all the bolts are off tip the seat back but leave the harness connected. Then slide the seat forward and backward while looking at railing and see if there is anything stopping the motion of the seat. You should be able to figure out what is wrong by looking underneath while the seat is moving.
Good luck.
Good luck.
