Easy
Really easy DIY job.
Remove the outside nut/washer assembly, pull the old antenna out firmly but S L O W L Y, note the orientation of the gear track on the nylon tail, insert the new nylon "tail" until you reach a hard "stop", have someone retract the antenna (turn the radio off).

A needle nose piers that will fit into the slots.
Hint: after removing the nut on the antenna. Go in the car, hold the AM buttom and the CD buttom at the same time. If you don't have the factory CD, then use the last buttom. Then turn the key on with your other hand (while you right hand is holding AM and CD buttoms). You will see the radio show " Ant" on the display.
Make sure there's no cable left in the motor. Sometimes the plastic cable broke and stay inside the motor. Compare the new antenna with the old one(at the end of the plastic tip).
