Cool 99 LS trunk leak

Hello friends,

Upon accessing my jack to rotate my tires I discovered my previously bone-dry trunk had a half-inch of water in it. I was devastated. The car only has 85,000 miles on it, and it has performed very well for me. A month ago I had to replace a brake light on the right-hand side, which is where the water appears to be coming in. I don't think it is the tail light seal, but I could be wrong. It more seems to be the trunk seal itself, which I disturbed in discovering how to get at the taillight assembly. Does anyone have any experience with a trunk leak in an LS?

Thanks!

had the same problem.. didnt know how to fix it.. so i just put a dry folded up towel in the corner by the light. and replace it when it gets wet from the rain.
