Gentlemen, I suspect this has been covered, but I want to know how many bulbs are in the third tailight. Usual problem with light out Icon. Thank you..

 

2 bulbs. 1 on each side of the light.

Have someone turn on the lights and step on the brakes while you examine the lights. Tail lights have a dual filament bulb (1 for night vision,1 for stopping). You could possibly have a filament out in one of the bulbs, which will cause the icon as well.
