it wont just fit, you'll need to heavily modify the 98-00 bumper since the contour for the headlights and top panel are very different between the 95-97 and 98-00.

can it be done? yes.

is it a TON of time, labor, and materials, especially if you're not in the trade? Hell yes.

Have to apply the same mentality that the guys down under do...just do it till it fits. Projects of this nature are not good candidates if this is a daily driver.

Would be interesting to see a 95-'97 on the 98+. I don't recall seeing a reverse mod like this. I suspect the MC~ owners would think it was a headlight conversion until they looked closer at the tails and interior.

Are you talking about my DIY?

The exact same concept can be applied to what you're doing.

Lexkost who?!

But seriously, the shop that did my replacement said no problem but by then, the adjuster had spec'd the '95-97 bumper and it was on delivery. Nice that Toyota parts is local but bad for situations where an order can be done and en-route in an hour or so. If I have more bumper scenarios which I hope not, the car will get a 98+ bumper and a few touches.
