Brake Issues ?
I have a 1995 ls400 with 169k on it . My front brakes keep making a cracking noise in the front and a loud gripping noise , the pad wear and rotor are fine. The only thing i can think of is that I need the Oem Shim Kit ? i took apart the brakes like 3 times and put brake quiet on there etc. One of the Pistons has a torn rubber boot slightly. The next conclusion i have is that the Pistons are giving out or my master Cylinder is giving out ?
Anyone have this issue before , or any suggestions
Thanks

do they make the noise when ur stopped/not moving but just pressing the brake pedal?
you need a shim kit anyways, and that caliper with a torn boot on the piston needs to be rebuilt before it totally seizes up.
if you fix both of those problems and still have that noise then you should replace the strut bar bushings, as its a common symptom of badly torn bushings.
