The speedometer
So I just bought my Lexus, and the fuse that ran the interior lights for the front was out, and the two side lights that are on the same level as the headlights are out. So I took out the battery and took out the bulb from the light and I replaced the fuse. Oh and a third thing that I did. The remote for the lock and unlock and trunk needed a new battery. So I got a new battery for that and put it in. When I first put it in there was a loud ringing and then it stopped and I drove away. So I climbed back in to go and get the bulb, and the speedometer wasn't working. Would any of those things affect the function of the speedometer?

What year is your Lexus? I have a '93 LS400. All Lexus from that model year and maybe other years have a problem with the speedometer sticking. The dial arm rests below "0" which means that it will stick since there is no peg to for the dial arm to rest on.
If you search this site there is a thread on how to fix the issue, short of sending the dial cluster off to somone to fix.
The easy way for me when this happens is 3 or 4 hard hits with my fist on top of the dashboard.
