Default My LS400 find

I've been on the site a while to get some info on my ES300. While I was shopping for a RX300 or MDX over the weekend I see a LS400 with a "For Sale" sign in the window in a Driveway on my way to the used car Dealership. So I take a look and a little old lady answers the door and proceeds to tell me it was her husbands car and it hasn't moved in over 2 years.

To make a long story short once I changed the battery and got her running I notice that the car has only "15,000" miles on it. Proceeded to check out and now the proud owner of a 1995 LS400.

Carfax check and Title in hand it seems there is no shenanigans involved.

It's snowy here in VA. so here is a quick pic. I took.

Stay tuned for a new project.

I have so many questions I don't know where to start. First off I'm 30ish years old and never had a car I didn't modify. I usually do most of the work myself so I'm no noob around a wrench. Since technically I bought the car for my wife I still feel the need for "subtle" mods. since I'm in the process of selling my white 240sx in the background for some thing more mature like a GS300.

I want to order the Tanabe drop springs right away but I just wanted to hear opinions before I order.
I tried searching but if anyone has any more info. regarding a 2000 LS400 front end swap than I'm all ears.

She wanted $10,900 but I talked her down to a low $10,500. Gotta thank the Credit Union for the Pre-Approval loan.

It was so clean and I've been searching for cars for along time and there was no deals to be had as far as Lexus's go.

Ya man, as long as you're happy. 15k miles puts it in a different category.
Check out all the bushings and get the timing belt changed asap.
Great find!

I'm pretty jealous. The 1990 I bought yesterday is in "fair" condition: oil leaking from cylinder head gaskets, steering wheel stuck in the "up" position, the dim headlights discussed elsewhere, different tires on each wheel, body drain holes clogged with 20 years of dirt and pine needles... but good leather.

I was willing to pay $10K for a newer LS or GS, or a clean one like yours, but it was too much work and all the sellers seemed to be flakes.

Lucky find... 15K miles.... I hope the body and interior are in excellent condition.

Since it has such low miles I would like pictures of the engine and interior as well.

WOW I dont care if it had 20 miles 10k for a 16 year old car is way too much. You live in a place where it snows so check for rust. Because it has no miles and its that old I wonder if it gonna run like it should. A car needs to be driven to run right, if it just sits there for YEARS like the one you just bought im sure things are bound to start popping from not being heated or lubed. But good find and nice car...10k LMAO!

The Interior is clean as hell. The Paint on the Exterior look good but with it not being washed for literally years and all the snow around here I haven't been able to wash, wax and so forth. I'll take pics. regardless and have them posted by about this time tomorrow.
