i hav a 1993 ls400 with the automatic retracting antenna. yesterday i went thru a carwash w/ my radio on and hence the antenna up.

so, it got bent n i bent it back but it doesnt go all the way in.
any suggestions?

 

Remove the antenna to bend it into shape and retract/extend it away from the car.

I used this tutorial to replace my antenna. Once I took out the old one and put everything back together, it took a couple of times to feed the new one in and for it retract correctly. But this tutorial worked like a charm. very detailed.

 

I have bought two Lexus antennae off Ebay, one for my LS400 and one for my wife's SC430, and both worked very well and were a great buy--around $15 as I remember! There are some for loss than that now. Good luck!
