Default NAV update

So, the NAV update for the 2001 is now available, but they've decided to charge for it. Was anyone else besides me told that the first two NAV updates would be free? Was there any documentation of this anywhere?

Exclamation NAV Updates for FREE????

Folks - come on... I know that we weren't the only ones told that at least the first NAV updates on their 2000 or 2001 vehicles would be free!!

We are looking to build a case to get Lexus to provide them... currently, 2000 Vehicles are $325 + install and 2001 Vehicles are $595 + install - ridiculous!!! It's ridiculous because the vehicles shipped with outdated software already... Nonetheless, people have been told that it would be free for at least the first update under warranty...

If you were - please chime in so that we can get a consensus!!!
