Toyota ECU's tend to learn a new fuel/air strategy when parts are added that help breathing. I'd say "no", but you might want to reset the ecu to relearn.
Just beware that K&N oil can coat Toyota maf's, and unlike other maf's they sometimes don't take well to cleaning. Be very gentle with oiling the filter.

EVO's react the same way. I loved my K&N drop-in, but I pulled the MAF out every thousand miles (about 5 times total) to clean the MAF of the K&N juice. Once I completed that cycle I just made sure not to over oil it from there on out.
