93 LS400 Exhaust opinions and advise needed please!!
hey guys,
right now I have a 93 ls400 and need some advise and opinions please. I replaced the o2 sensors a while back and also looked at the catalytic converters on both sides. They were both badly clogged, so I cleaned them out entirely! They are now 100% hollow. The car does sound different, but not in a very good way. I need advise on how to make this thing breathe and sound better.
I wanted to do headers, 2.5 piping, blah blah blah but after doing some reading on here, i think it may not be worth it and not make a big horsepower difference. I do want the car to sound like the V8 should.
How would removing the center resonator, and the two middle mufflers, and replacing the two rear mufflers with some flowmaster super 40's sound.
My only problem is that how would I go from the stock 2" pipe to the 2.5" muffler inlet??
thanks guys!!!!!

1st off Flowmaster sucks. And does not belong on an LS.. lol. now that's out of the way..
The SS headers are VERY worthwhile on the LS. Little pricey, but worth it.
For exhaust go 2.25" after the STOCK Y-PIPE back to 2 nice straight through mufflers. add in 2 resonators (glass packs) if you want to tone it down a bit.
If you do get the headers I'd go with 2.5" piping, and leave the resonators out!
