Default Ticking Noise

I also have that ticking noise coming from the drivers side of the engine and many people have told me that it's one of my valves and other people have told me that one of my cylinders are broken....and I think it's one of my valves because if the cylinder was broken it would accelerate like my car does....and if the lexus dealer told you that it's very rare for a valve to be adjusted, you just tell him to come and see me.
