so the my front seats were in pretty bad shape and i got really lucky and picked up some seats in really good condition.
here are some comparison pics
front seats
rear seats
the harness on the newer seats was cut off so i had to take the harness from the old seat and cut, spliced, and soldered the wires 2gether. thank god theyr color coded lol.
after that i noticed that 1 of the switches on the driver seat was broken off
so i had 2 take the switches off my old seats and swap them out
since i had the seats out i gave the carpet i little scrub down with some cleaner. kinda wish i did a lil beter job but i got a lil lazy with the scrubbing lol
and heres a pic wit the driver seat in
interior look so much better now, special thanks to oach for the seats
ur right, they do make a big diff Chris lol. time to clean that armrest too...removing and reinstalling the seat must've been fun also.
actually the removal/install was the easiest part i think. only 4 bults and the seats are out or in haha. id say the most PITA was cutting, splicing, and soldering all the wires to the harness again lol
if i cant find a good condition armrest f/s i guess ima have 2 get it reupholstered
I had my armrest and shiftknob re-upholstered by Carthom Custom Upholstery in New Rochelle, NY, they charged $60 for the armrest and $75 for the ****, and did an amazing job. Best of all, they did it right there and then, while I waited. Their number is 914-633-0061.
lol the seats are pretty heavy though....scrubbing the carpet isnt that hard, u just need something soft to kneel on. i do want to remove the carpeting and dye it black or something...mines just too dirty.
