That's an L in my name, not an I by the way :-) :-)

I wish there was some kind of 'ask jeeves' answer wizard here who could help with all these problems.

Here's what's wrong with mine
1 The A/C fan does not spin fast enough, car overheats. It seems no one can help me solve the problem.
2 The drivers door handle is broken
3 Psngr side mirror is slightly burned out, bright lights in the night are now a nusance.
4 P/S pressure hose is leaking $265 just for part, labor????
5 Heated seats don't work, never did!
6 Telescopic steering works when it wants to.
Last but not least (everyone's favorite) the $%# instrument lights are going and the bulbs are hard to come by and too damn expensive for every part Toyota/Lexus makes.
WTF

Man,this is an old thread.
My best guess on the overheating problem is too much dirt bluid up between Condensor and Radiator. Just remove the plastic covers on top of the radiator and remove 2 12 mm nuts that hold the radiator bracket and push back the radiator. You'll be surprise how much dirts, leafs and debris are collected between the Condensor and Radiator. I hope this help.

1) The very low idle that other people complain about.....doesn't stall, but idles at around 400rpm. (I'll get them to check the TPS / TB / VAF at service (car is under warranty)

2) The passenger side rear door globe in the ashtray is blown.

And that's all ! Otherwise, it looks, smells and drives like new.

Default 91' LS 400

I have a 91 with 174K on the odometer, and it runs like a champ. I bought it for $2600 and fixed a few minor problems, but everything works great except the A/C display.

-Fixed the O2 sensors, suspension, and minor wires that were disconnected.
-few dings form the previous owner.
-ready for a new clear coat on the paint.

All else is well.

1990 LS with 143+++ miles

power steering pump - replaced
timing belt- replaced
water pump- replaced
front brakes- serviced
oil changed with Quaker State

known problems

driver seat right side motor doesnt work, only one side reclines
passenger seat doesnt recline at all
small dings and dents
tires are almost worn down
front ball joints
EGR valve
needs a drop and a new set of wheels/tires

other than that the car is great, it just takes some care to make a car like this drive and ride like new again. Just keep up with the maintenance and everything should be fine.

No MAJOR problems except the car vibrates like hell between 45-65! Tires are fine and in balance....dealer can't figure it out...
