The code 12 on my LS has finally and truly been solved. There's the wire harness that feeds all the the sensors, crank and the two cams. In 2006 when I installed a import engine and trans, this new engine(from japan) was a little different. This harness in question didnt have these two wires that pluged into the left ignition coil. I'm not talking about the tension wire either. There's a pair of wires that plugs into the left coil in addition to the tension wire. I had to cut this missing pair of wires off the old engine and reattach them to my new japanese version engine. I thought I had done a good job cause obviously the car started and ran well at least initially. I guess over time this connection weakened because these wires are related to the ignition system. Python you are the man and because of your suggestion about the sensor connectors, I revisited theses wires and soldered them instead of the way i had originally re-attached them.
This was the CULPRIT PERIOD!!!!!!!
The japanese version of this engine is slighty different and i had to switch some parts like throttle body and do other mods like drill and tap a hole for this valve that i guess idles the engine down once the coolant warms up. the wire was the other mod. Licelsior, i hope this also helps you and anyone else out there. Thanks again everyone

Check the wiring shape too - if the harness isn't clipped back onto the timing covers, the serpentine belt will slice it like a knife.
