Default Just did a tune up what improvements should I expect?

so I have my car getting a tune up right now, what improvements should I expect?

but more importantly, I wanna know what improvements I should expect in MPG?
i was getting REALLY low numbers compared to many of you on here
I was getting like 9-10 MPG city and thats on a good week.
i see people getting like 20 and up here.

how drastic would the improvement be?
what other tips do you guys have for improving MPG? i dont think any thing else can be more expensive than this.

better gas mileage, little better power. better feeling that your car is now a little cleaner .

drive < 60mph, but a block under ur accelerator pedal so u cant go WOT. i think u'll see 20+mpg if u do those steps.

tweak that vehicle with a full throttle body clean out and the acid-based fuel injector cleaning (the 100.00 kind with specialized equipment)

I went with Iridium plugs and high flow WIX filter and got modest increase in MPG (1-2 MPG) plus a more steady idle and a bit more pep.

What did you do for a tune up?

Other items to check:
What pressure do you have in your tires?
Are you running rich?
How long are you idling for, especially when warming up?
What grade fuel are you using?
What condition are your injectors in?
What condition is your air filter in?
How old are your plugs and what condition?
Are your brakes dragging?
Does your P brake release completely?
What kind of driving do you do (hard-easy)?
Are you driving in a hilly area?

A lot of factors influence your fuel economy.

Cleaning the TB is always a good idea, especially if it hasn't been done in a while. No offence Bill, but I would advise against the K&N for the LS. Haven't had a chance to look up CL threads on this and I'm sure there are plenty, but here's a recent one at the LOC:

Definitely read up before deciding to change over!
