yeah the 350Z is an option but it ain't the cruiser the LS is. It is the first generation and is rougher than any car I have ever driven - but handles fantastic!

The body shop estimate is $3,000 for new bumpers, paint, etc.

Should get it started next week

just stick it out with the z for a bit... rentals blow.

unless if they give you a nice rental like a new ls460 or something

Ha ha the LS460 would be a nice rental for sure - I don;t think I would want to drive one - too nice compared to mine. I visited the dealer and sat in one. The salesman asked me if I wanted to drive it and I said no

I am still waiting on his insurance company to receive the police report - thank God I got one. If not I would be screwed. The kid's Mom is disputing the claim - funny since she was not even there!

A quick update - the UCF20 is in the body shop this week. The rental turned out to be a Camry SE in lieu of a LS460. It is a nice car but in no way compares with my LS! Something about front wheel drive versus rear wheel drive. I get my LS back later this week and am looking forward to it

That's why I never have sympathy for people who want to "work it out" without involving the insurance company. They try to slip and slide their way out of the accident, and end up stiffing you in the end.

This lady hit me on my rear left quarter panel one time, and thank god I called the police. She claimed responsibility right up until the point the police arrived. The police refused to take a report and said that the insurance companies would hash it out. 8 months later, the two insurance companies went through an arbitration process and found in my favor. Finally, I get my $500 deductible back.

I feel your pain bud. Sounds like this lil spazoid is not going to get away with it!

No doubt - that stinks you had to wait. I tell you now that without the police report I would be out of luck the exact same way! Turns out the young fellow's cell phone is disconnected conveniently.

The owner filed a counter claim saying her son's car was hit from behind. As soon as her insurance saw the police report they admitted liability and my car was able to be repaired

Me too. Never took pics - too sick to do it! I mean the car was finally where I wanted it.

Basically the front bumper had a trailer hitch sized hole through it left of license plate. It reqires new bumper and all the stuff behind it. Bumper was bowed out on sides since middle was caved in No sheet metal damage though

Rear was just cosmetic damage - chipped paint, etc. but no dent(s). They said there may be damage behind it. I hope to get it out tomorrow or Friday so I can give back the Camry

Def the police report saved me - if this ever happens to anybody and you know it is not your fault, wait for the cop to protect yourself.

I will post pics on other thread when finished. The shop guarantees work for life of car
