Default Got it for a STEAL...

Hey Everybody

I 'm a new owner of a 92 ls400 but not new to the forum. I've taking some notes here for a while now and doing a bit of research until I felt I was ready. Based on what I've read and seen I'm conifident that I made a good purchase. I got my new baby today for a steal...this is all the work thats already been done.

1.98 16' chrome wheels
2.water pump
3.timing belt
4.starter
5.rear main seal
6.valve cover gaskets
7.cam seals
8.front crank seal
9.battery
10.used trans with 140k (The body has 235k)
11.new brakes front and rear
12.left front caliper
13.egr pipe,and more.

No rust factory paint job still looks crisp, just a clean car inside and out. There are some modification that I have seen on the forum that I would like to do so I will be asking you guys for alot help. But until thanks in advance.
Pictures are soon to come....

I just think with all the repairs that I've read others had to do I'm glad I bought mine with them already done.

Pictures will come really soon...its covered in snow and ice right now we got dumped on today....but hopefully we'll have a nice day and I'll get out and take a few. I paid 3k all and all plus the previous owner works at lexus as a repair man for the dealer. Thats really why a stay it was a steal...he knows the car in and out, he's replaced or repaired things that are already known to go wrong, and if anything goes wrong in the future I got a good repair man to take it to.

I am wondering why a LS400 would need a tranny replacement.

Bingo...

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...-question.html

But but he bought this from a "lexus tech"

Often times in life, though a hard lesson to learn for most, you get what you pay for.
