NEW MEMBER from the LOC
Been cruising this forum from time to time, decided I may as well become a member so I can do some posting. I recognize some of my fellow LOC members here - good to see. At the LOC, my user name is eatingupblacktop. Can't use it here because it's too long, so I've shortened it to EUBT.
Took some pics of my LS early last fall. It's amazing how many comments I get about it looking like a 3 - 4 year old car. It's got 265,000 KM now. So far, I've replaced the starter, a/c high side hose, and repaired the trunk wiring harness. Still have to clean out the mess of disintegrating foam between the rad and condensor. Someday I'll get around to doing the climate control display as well.
Everything is stock. No mods - no aftermarket! Need new tires - maybe around springtime. Like the idea of cooled seats - will have to wait until I get a 430. When I do, the 400 will prob become a project car. Engine teardown, suspension overhaul, etc. Wife wants this car to last forever. Was going to do that with the Volvo, but decided it wasn't worth it. Before getting the 430, I'll be looking at a gen1 SC. Always liked the original design and what they can look like modded. Well guys and gals, here's my baby. Nothing you haven't seen before, but a fair example of what these cars can look like when you take care of them.

Hey encore888 and trukn1, thanks for the welcome. About driving it much, after talking to my insurance agent recently about write off payouts, I'm driving it less because if some yahoo takes me out, the payout would be ridiculous. Besides, don't think I could easily find another in this condition. As for it's condition, not driving it in the salt helps. I've got an old volvo I use as my winter beater, although it's not in bad shape either and it's 7 years older. I'll post some pics of it when I get a chance.

JC, I'm sure IS400 loves you after standing up for her in that one LOC thread. I see you're at only 919 here - what? Are you slacking off, and you've been a member here longer! I know, it happens to all of us eventually. Burn out, old age, no time, too much partying! I'm sure you'll get your second wind! Do they have any pix threads going here?

Random, I see you're a Supra driver. I like them as well. Never owned one, not yet anyway. I do check out what mods are being done on them though just in case I find one that talks to me. Sieze, thanks for the welcome.

Hey PD, thanks for the welcome. Yeah, I'll check that out. Would like to use my "real" name. This is a lot bigger forum for sure, so looking forward to spending some time here. LOC still has good mods and members but things can get quiet.
