So I happened to pick this one up today. I still have my LS400... trying to sell it now.
I like it ALOT. I put the L-Sportlines on it today and put the LS430 wheels on the LS400.

I will also be buying an LS 430 this summer. I want 1 04-up but will settle for an older one.
I took think that the LS400 looks better from a design point of view, its a lot more elegant.
But 430 is just bigger and more luxurious I think.
Also I think the factory Chrome wheels look better!

Well the cars drive pretty similar to be honest. You hop in one and the only difference I feel is tighter steering and a coffin like cabin on the LS430. I also think the 430 has less body roll than the LS400.
LS400 PROS:
-I prefer the front end of the LS400 better
-The sound system - NAK sounds much better than the Mark Levinson.
-The fit and finish of the interior is outstanding
-Easier to work on, that's for sure
LS430 PROS:
-Tighter Steering
-Less Body Roll
-Seemingly effortless acceleration
-3UZ-FE =)
-Interior is outstanding at night
-Updated Navigation System
-Coffin quiet Cabin
Other than that, they are very similar.
.No matter what though,these cars(LS) are just lovely.
I like the LS400 style better on the exterior, but I'm driving it, not showing it... know what I mean? What attracts me is the updated Navi, Vaistech capability which lets me hook up my Ipod through the navi screen, heated AND cooled seats... it's an ULTRA too, so I mean the list goes on.
