I have a 1993 LS 400 with a CEL on. I tried using my jumper wire from E1 to Te1, have car in neutral, battery voltage is 12.26. Still I get no flashing CEL. I 've used the port under the hood and under D/S dash, still nothing.

I rev the car up to about 2000 rpm's and the engine cuts out like you are turning the key off for a split second. At the same time the CEL blinks off for that split second also.

I wonder if the ECU is going bad? Picked up a used one out of a 1991 dosen't have the right plug ins. It has to be 93-94. If anyone has one for sale reasonable and that works please let me know.

is the bulb in the dash out....
there's a bulb behind the CEL that goes out over time like any other bulb.

Puredrifter the bulb works because it stays on. When I try to pull codes it just stays on with no blinking.
Take the wire out from diag port and start car and the CEL stays on while running.
