I have a 91 ls400 and was wondering if the front camber is adjustable without buying a kit. If not, who makes a camber kit for this car.

 

camber is adjustable on all 4 corners.

Yes but mostly on old sports cars like rx7s and corollas. Did a 2000 626 also. I never did a wheel alignment though. I was just wondering if the 91 ls is adjustable cause my car has tanabe/tokico suspension and might need to check camber. 20" tires are expensive so I would like them to last a long time.

 

Its located on the lower control arm. Where the control arm bolts to the car, there is an adjustable cam bolt there. Set camber, then caster, then toe.... not too hard, well if you have access to an alignment machine. For it being a 91, im curious if the balljoints and tierods have ever been replaced. If you get your alignment done and you have worn balljoints or tierods, its like for nothing you got the alignment done... but a good alignment specialist should be able to find out and tell you before hand to see if you want to proceed with the alignment...

 

Cool. Thanks. True, I'll check the tierods and balljoints. Should I be able to tell if they are worn out just by looking at them or do I need get them loose. The car has new tanabe df210 and tokico blues. Tires are new and want them to last as long as possible. I haven't had the chance to get under the car yet.

Jack up the car under the lower control arm. Lift it about 3" of the ground. Hold the tire at the 3 and 9 o'clock position with your hands and alternate back and forth shaking the whole assembly to check for any looseness in the tierods. Now change positions to 12 and 6 o'clock position and do the same thing to check any wheel bearing looseness. Change again to 1 and 7 o'clock position, do the same thing to check for balljoint loosesness. While doing this, either you or a friend has to look under to check each of the components. Hold each of them to confirm if/which its loose. Hope this helps.
