Engine Hesitation
Car: 1993 LS 400 227k Miles.
So with the cold weather here to stay, I find that my car is not able to really get above the 2nd line on the engine temp gauge.
I have checked the anti-freeze and it is at the normal level when cold, however I have yet to change this since I obtained the vehicle back in June.
Now for the main problem, it is throwing a check engine light and the motor has a slight hesitation between 2500k rpms and 3200k rpms. It usually makes it through it's hesitation and everything is fine.
However, I have noticed it has become kind of sluggish with it's low end power.
Now, I was thinking about changing the spark plugs, possibly the wires and throwing in some fuel injector cleaner as well as doing a coolant flush.
I'm working with my buddy that works at Lexus to see if he can get me in for a Diagnostics test to see what the problem is.
In the meantime, does anyone have any advice/suggestions?
Thanks guys!
