Right tire for 1990 ls400 with 18" 2006 Sc430 rims
Hi, I have a 1990 ls400 with 18" rims from a 2006 Lexus Sc430, the tires that I purchsed wore out too soon, they are 225/40/18 and I am about to replace them, I dont want the same size tire, what is the highest I can go and an affordable tire to go with it?
The rims are just like the 2005 ones, however they are all chromed;
her is the link to picture of rims;

put in that you have a 2006 SC430
it will tell you what sizes are avaliable and let you sort by price.

Ahh, i see why im confused. turns out that the UCF10 (90-92) ran 205/65/15s OEM, so 245/40/18 is the right size.
the UCF11 (93-94) on the other hand had OEM 225/60/16s (+1in.) and therefore can take 245/45/18.
im having the issues since my speedo is off by ~3.xx percent since im running 245/40/18 instead of 245/45/18

The overall diameter of a Kumho SPT 235/45/18 is 26.3".
I believe stock was 26.6" correct? Diameter on a 245/40/18 is 25.7"
757 rpm's for a 225/60/16
766 rpms for a 235/45/18
784 rpm's for a 245/40/18
791 rpm's for a 205/65/15 diameter 25.5
804 rpm's for a 225/40/18
If I were more ambitious & going for extra credit I could calculate the % error.

I would now like to go to a 245/45/18 on my UCF-11 with SC430 rims.
Will this work without fender mods? The Tirerack fitment guide raises a potential red flag so I would like to hear real world experiences.
thanks, mark
edit: If I use 26.68" as the diameter of a 245/45/18 tire we get 786 rpms.

Thanks PD,
I believe I am going to try the Kumho LX Platinum on my next order in a 245/45/18.
Under "service description" what does 100W mean?
I assume it deals with load capacity/vehicle weight?
