Default suspension question 90 LS

Have the rear UCA changed along with the air struts. But the rear still thumps and gives away over pot holes or thumps.
There's a thumping noise everytime there's a pot hole or uneven surface. Traction is lost everytime in that situation.
Had the mechanic check for all the bushings and they look fine.
Could this be diff related or any diff bushings etc ?

I have a knocking sound and it comes in intermittently not necessarily on bumps. It seems to be coming from the front. I figure I need to drop my car anyway now that I have some 18 slapped on that mug, however I don't know if I have air struts in the back or not. How would I find out? Has anyone dropped a 1st gen LS that has air struts in the rear? I am also replacing shocks, struts and springs so can I just dump the air struts and go with something like eibacks and tokicos all the way around? Please help!

alias, just lift ur car. look at the strut. if u c a spring,/coil then no u dont have air. and if u getting new shocks, then u might as well get springs and do the conversion. its much much cheaper in the long rong for replacment and maintanance. and it will improve ur ride. specially if u get stiffer shocks and springs

and about the thumping. it could b anything. soo many possibilites. did u uprgade ur sway bar? kus i got a stiffer sway bar and with that came the sqeaking and noises kus of the new bushings. and since it is stiffer my car drifts everywher now. ha

do you have a switch next to the gearshifter that says "sport norm high" on it? looks somewhat similar to the etc switch? if not, then no, you dont have air.

if you do, look under the car, if the struts have springs on them, you still dont have air, someone already converted it.

sounds like I got the regular old suspension cause I don't have the "sport, norm, high" button. Also looking under the car it looks as normal as any other regular suspension car I have had. Now I just gotta save up some cash for the suspension work. I just paid for the full tint and painted to match wings west decklid spoiler. I will post pics soon. Here is pic of the spoiler I bought.
