Default Injen Intake

Is it normal to idle at 3k RPM? I thought it use to idle a little higher before I installed the Injen intake system. I might be wrong, but the car still run normal though. I'm also getting hot air from engine bay coming in from the vents. Any idea how to fix that? Thanks in advance.

i have an injen intake on my car unfortunately and it idles at 700rpm. the heat from the vents is cause you need to push in the circulate button on your heater control or turn the temp down on the temp control toggle button.

Just to add -- I idle at operating temp. 600 on the nose. -- 3000 is way to high.

Sorry, I meant 300. Duh.. It'll probably make more sense now.

Yeah.. thats better. Still too low though hehe..

How is the idle,.. Is it rough at all at 300? I'd imagine it would sound like a Cam lope that low.

Can you fiddle with the intake any and the idle change?

Actually it's pretty quiet. I don't experience any power loss or nothing like that.

I would say don't worry about it.. but at 300rpm I imagine the alternator and other accessories are underpowered. Obviously this is only at stoplights and parked with car running, etc. But it *could* cause a nuisance. I'd look into trying to see if you couldn't get the idle up to at least 500ish.

Did you verify the idle speed or are you guessing based on the tachometer? At 300 RPM I would think the engine would run quite rough, if it would run at all.

+1 just adjust it and you will be good. You can unplug your battery 20 secs and let your ecm reset. but im sure you did that before you put in the intake. so adjustment is on the way.
