Default Silver, Gold, or Black?

I just cannot make up my mind. It's not that i don't like my gold badge's, i think they look really good, but I am still undecided about changing them to chrome or black ones.

What do you guys think?

I think it depends on the color of your car. For instance my old GS300 and current GS430 are both champagne, and look great with gold badges. But my LS is dark green, and I think it would look lame with gold badges, chrome look better IMO.

Same here - mine is black and the badges were gold - I painted black and then removed. Gold on black looked good when I bought it in 96 but it got old quick (for my taste that is).

I think black or chrome would look best for your car. Gold is a very tricky finish to pull off.

Black on black cars looks nice. I'm curious to see what black badges on white or silver paint looks like...

Another member painted his black on white and I thought it looked great - he got bashed though from many others though. The black on white was vivid - BAM! I thought it looked awesome

I agree that gold looks tacky. But just my opinion.

Silver is the safest of the three -- Black is killer if done right, and on the right color. But not everyone will agree with it, of course.

Though with Silver I think the majority will agree it looks 'good' -- Some will love it, some will just think its ok. Again a safe blend.

i've seen some cars, not Lexus, that have a matte black finish and some have a glossy black finish. which do you have? IMO matte black would be the way to go if any..

Why didn't you paint the "LS400" before you put it on the car? Seems to look odd in comparison to the rest of your deck's emblems
