Talking Finally Got My Muffs!!!! :)

YAY!

My mufflers came in yesterday, I polished them up a little.

I can't wait to get these big buddies on! The 3.5" tip is going to look sick in the 4.5" bunper cutout, and for now I'm only going to replace the piping out of the pre-mufflers with 2.25". I LOVE the silence of my car, and want to preserve as much as possible at cruising speeds. Let me know what you think!!

Will you be cutting the bumper for the tips?

yea but the stock cutouts on those ares are stupidly low.

meh, its just a regular round muffler, teh fact that ur not going cat-back, or at least cutting the bumper to put the muffler upright doesnt do much for me.

i would have saved the money and lowered the car.

They look great. Do they offer any additional benefits over the factory? Or is it a stock function muffler with polished steel?

I agree with PD on one thing,.. Hold one up in place, and see how it is going to hang. If it doesn't come out straight, or only at a slight angle where it 'looks' good -- Then I would fabricate the cutout a little. You wouldn't want those to hang down toward the ground, would ya?

The cut-outs are very very low and wide underneath the bumper.

As stated in my previous post, I am NOT doing this HP gains and performance. I want to keep it quiet and have the look back there

It's going to be sweeeeeeeet!

WHat is the fascination with having plumbing showing off in the rear of the car??? I blame S55 for having started this trend with their 4 pipes sticking out. But with 500Hp, S55 has the right. I used to like it, but I was 18 then.

Either way, enjoy! and I hope it works for you the way you want them!! IN the end, I know you want just a little more rumble!!!!!

seeing as how im getting the car as a gift, i do have the 6-10 grand to do it. the LS is going to be my car throughout college until i have a place to keep a car that needs to be worked on more often. lets say, A classic mini (built up) or a 427 1969 corvette stingray
