Post Way into Trunk????

Hey people locked my only key in the trunk, got the door open but now the car is on lock down and trunk release wont work. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance

anyone? its sunday no dealerships open suppose to leave for ohio in the morning

You need to remove the subwoofer. Then stick in a magnet tied to a stick and remove the key that way. Might need a flashlight too.

find the wire for the trunk release and power it up directly by 12v to pop your trunk.

disconnect battery, wait a bit, reconnect then see if the trunk release in the car will open it.

I think that is the next step to try after removing the sub and trying to fish the keys out.

On fishing the keys, one of those magnet rods to pick up nuts/bolts/sockets/tools etc , can be found at autoznoe (and other tool type stores) for cheap. It is telescopic like an antennae and should work well.

but shoving +12v into the trunk solenoid would be the easiest way to open it.....

Agreed -- I think pointing out where exactly to find it would bump that option up to the front.

Heck by now he probably has his keys and is eating dinner
