The worst part is it would corner just as nice with larger sway bars.
All it look like is that it has an air suspension controller that has a very fast ecu and watches for pressure changes and reacts by comparing it to a gyro for gravity changes to effect it. Nice idea but i can lift my car 4 inches higher also and float like a cotton ball.
Let me see it do all of those comparisons back to back and i would be impressed not have it specifically tuned for each course.
who cares, i want my car to be able to jump onto a curb liek that Originally Posted by skperformance

Are you being dismissive because you spent a lot of money on an air suspension that doesn't do any of the same tricks?Originally Posted by skperformance

I contacted them awhile back(06) about that suspension, and they told me that they were still in testing and development stages and would not be available as an aftermarket suspension at all. Here is a copy of the email response that was sent to me,,

Hello Anthony,
Thank you for your inquiry regarding the Bose Automotive Music System. In answer to your question, the Bose suspension system is still in the research phase. As such, the system is not yet available in any production vehicle. It will be several years before the first automotive manufacturers incorporate the Bose suspension system into their vehicles. It is not our intention to make the suspension system as an aftermarket option. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Thank you for contacting Bose Corporation.

Pretty impressive! I remember the first time I saw that years ago.
Isn't it just a magnet suspension?? Isn't that what they use on some Lambo's and Ferrari's???

Yeah, they use a magnetic fluid that can change its dampening in an instant.
That with computer control, makes them super smooth.

Its one reason why I don't like Bose speakers. They are a technology company not an audio company...Despite Dr. Amar's affliction with psychoacoustics.
Neat idea though.

i was like "bose doesn't make suspension. oh wait... its probably that old a** hopping car video."
would have been syrprised if it wasn't a repost.

I vaguely remember seeing this before... pretty damn cool tho. Might be an awesome technology but i bet the pricetag would be crazy.
I guess it completely does away with swaybars, very cool. Hopefully it'll make it into production vehicles someday

I wrote to them awhile back about this suspension. This will NEVER be sold as an aftermarket item to the public, so any hopes of trying to get it can be squashed. This is a copy of the email response I received from them when I wrote to them in '06.

Wouldn't surprise me none if Bose had a LITTLE hand in the development of their suspensions. Maybe not all of it, but some components of it. I do remember them tergeting them as 2 of their hopefuls.
