How to Reattach Passenger Door Wood Paneling ??
Hello ~
Well I was in the car wash the other day with my fun brother , and just as the wash was finishing up ( brushless of course ) my brother decides to put the window down during the 175 mph drying process , the next thing i know the passenger side wood paneling goes flying across the car, I was not too mad , because I LOVE to learn new things about my car , and i see that the wood is glued on, now my problem is finding the right glue to re- attach it, sould I go to Lexus ?? or is their a commonly used adhesive for this kind of attachment , hope someone knows , Thanks !
Paul
** I am going to get that "Can Crunching Sound" that i posted about earlier checked soon hope it is not alot of $$ **

Yep, this has already happened to me also. I had some spray upholstery glue that I was putting carpet on the doors with, and I just turned the wood over, sprayed and stuck it to the driver door. Since then, my passenger door has come undone. However, I will not spray that one. I will do as any red blooded American would, and go to Wal-Mart and get some silicone based glue and reattach the wood. Lexus, obviously used the wrong glue in manufacturing, as the glue gets hard with age and auto oxidation and with an uneven force applied to the wood being amalgamated to a spongy surface, the high point pressure, causes bond failure. With a silicone based glue, the pressures can be spread over a wider area and point pressures stay low and bonds will not fail. In other words use a silicone based glue.
