any word on what the problem was? I think my car is having the same problem. It is not the battery because I already swapped it out for another one and still won't start.

The 3 items I would check first would be the fuel filter, the fuel pressure regulator, and the cold start injector and time switch, in that order. The cold start injector can gum up and not spray very well, and if the switch is defective, the cold start injector may not fire at all.
