wierd random noise in engine bay '93
sometimes, SOMETIMES when i start my car i hear something in the engine drop but then nothing really did get dropped and i have no idea what it is. also when i mash the pedal, once its like 3k rpm the car hesitates to shift and when it does it jerks the car foward, this is not in O/D. this is annoying because im scared the engine is gonna fall apart and i think the jerking motion has a bad effect on the car somehow. PureDrifter please drop in with some info, even though this is a 93 im sure you can provide some substantial info . thanks in advance.

the hesitation is not due to the trans mount, its due to poor preventive maintenance. trans slip is usually caused by one not replacing transmission fluid during scheduled intervals (especially on ls400s which holds up extremely well if maintained). get a trans fluid flush and fill it with heavier than normal oil. once that is solved work your way back to lighter oil. that "dropping noise" is obviously due to something that is loose. a vibrating object hitting metal will make that noise. go troubleshoot and tell us your results
