I have to say even with the upcoming maintenance needed with the higher miles, for $10K that is not a bad deal at all, unless the car is totally misrepresented. Sure, try and get the car as cheap as you can, but I'd be happy with $10K even knowing I might have a few thousand in potential maintenance coming up. A local Silver 98 LS just like this one here in Hawaii, only with factory air suspension and Nakamichi stereo (Not sure about heated seats as this is in Hawaii) with 114K miles on it is selling for $14K.

Update.....got a one way ticket to fly to Phoenix, and got a clean carfax last Thursday night. I called the owner prior to this, and said I would send him a check to hold the car ($100, just to hold it) as well as email him a copy of my airline confirmation. Owner said it was a go, 100%.

The next day (last Friday) the owner calls me and someone local came and purchased the car...that day. I got the ticket with air miles, so I got a full refund, but it was still a bit much. Oh well, not meant to be.....the guy was a bit out of line in my opinion at that point, but what can you do?

been there done that

cept mine was at a dealer while we were trying to get my mom a G35, stupid *%$hole dealer sold it WHILE WE WERE ON THE WAY TO SIGN THE PAPERS!!!

then they refused to cut us the same deal on a similar car so we basically told them to *%&# off and that was that

i guess we were never destined to have a G35
