98-00 air sus
is there a button on the console for 98 - 00 equipped with the air sus? im having a hard time looking through autotrader since they don't list it as an option, im sure most dont know or care. thanks
Unless your planning on tieing in to the system somehow to lower it on demand like the LS430 guys do, I dont know why youd want it to begin with. The stock LS400 rides better than any other luxury car Ive ever owned (and thats every brand) withOUT the air suspension. Ive never been a fan of air ride systems on cars, they are incessantly complicated. In fact, a couple of times I have gotten out and listened for a compressor or to see if the rear end levels itself at startup thinking I might have gotten stuck with it myself with as smooth as the back end of this thing is.
When Toyota distributed test cars for the auto rags back in 1997 and 98, most if not all of them were not equipped with the air ride. I imagine it was not as popular an option on 98-00 as it was on 01+
To answer your question however, there should be a "SPORT/NORM" style switch on the console to adjust the suspension damping rate. That would be the giveaway.

if it has air susp. it will have the button on the center console.
good luck finding one though, a 98+ with A/S is EXTREMELY rare, i spent over a month looking for one when i was looking for my car and found only ONE and it was in rough shape in NJ.
