Check Engine sometimes on and sometimes off
Hey everyone, I have a 1993 Ls400. The CEL came on while driving on the highway but then it turned off when I started the car. This has been the case over the past month. Sometimes on, sometimes off. For some reason, it comes on more when I'm driving on the highway then in the city. I went to autozone to get it checked but they said its too old. (95+) ; I did a search and found CEL on but not the symptom I am having. Anybody else experiencing the same problem or had the same problem.
Thanks guys, You're help is appreciated.

I have been having the same problem for about 2 months ago. Mine would go on on the freeway and then go off. Kinda weird. And autozone told me the same. I just disconnected the negative battery cable for about 15 mins a couple of days ago and it has'nt come back on. Give that a try.

You should try reading the code, see my tutorial on how to: http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/intro/codereading.html
Even though you erased any stored codes when you disconnected the battery the cel will turn on again if you a something that needs to be fixed.

I've been extremely busy this last year, working too much.... The house projects have ate up a LOT of time, but the list is getting shorter now. I finally have my garage workshop done so I can work on my car again.
