Hello Everyone.

My CEL , together with track off, comes on soon after I start my car.

I have had a CEL problem a year back , it was the shift solenoid but this time it comes ON very quickly every time after I reset it from the battery.

Though I will be having it checked soon, I would appreciate if you could give me a clue as what could be the cause since it is coming ON even before I shift to D or anything.

My car is ES300 '01.

Go get the code scanned....

Get code and then google what the problem is. Just cause you reset it by disconnecting a battery doesn't mean it will fix it. It could be serious issue or something minor, anyway you need to find out which code it is in order to solve the issue.

Thank you. I have visited the forums after a long time, I realize it is quite late but just to let the readers know that the problem was in one of the air fuel ratio sensor heater circuit. I replaced it my self after testing it, it is fixed already.
