I have a '91 LS400 and the driver's side door is stuck in the lock position. I have tried many different things to try to get it open but cannot get the door open to get to the lcok to replace it. If anyone has any ideas how to open the door anyway possible without ripping the door panel open that would be great.

is the lock mechanism itself busted or just the key cylinder? if its the key cylinder pump it fill of WD40, put some tape on it, and try it again in an hour.

 

the lock mechanism is whats broken. It won't move inside and won't move with the key.

 

yea, then ur kinda limited. u could try a locksmith jimmying the door open or basically trying to take the interior door panel apart w/the door closed (pretty sure thats impossible).

 

Use a locksmith to use a slimjim and get in the window to open the door. It's going to be cheaper that ripping open your door panel.
