i have come across a very nice deal with a set that is basically local. no tires so that sucks but i can manage for the price.
id rather not end up having to put these back up on CL or ebay if they dont fit though....
thanks in advance.

they will fit on ur 1st gen with out any problems....
these rims would need spacers to clear 95+ LS's because they have the 4 pot brakes,
The profile of the tire will be much thinner than what your use to on ur stockers but thats what you get when you upgrade to bigger wheels.

I spent a lotta time looking at the 350's calipers when we were at the dealership buying 2 IS's for my cousins... it took them about 5 hours to close a deal for both cars.. we were there for the whole day...
anyway while looking at the 350's brakes the face (distance from rotor to side of caliper) seemed to be less then my LS400 brakes I had on my SC... The LS brakes look bulkier, if you do hit it will only be by 1-3mm it shouldn't be anymore. so the thinnest spacer you find will be enough.
I was just saying it to be on the safe side since I have personally seen it done on a 2nd or 3rd gen....
