Electrics Fan Conversion...

Electrics Fan Conversion...
...ok, I did some searches and found relevant posts, but I am really concerned about possible overheating in the summer. The money I would put into replacing the fan clutch is cause enough for me to consider switching to electric.
So, several questions:
Anyone here running the electric fan conversion?
How many did you use, what size in inches please? (links really appreciated)
Also what was the hottest temp in your area, and did it do a good job in cooling vs. factory.
What's the best place other than www.partzfinder.com to get a good cheap set.
Thanks in advance.

I think this summer is going to be a hot one, and the last thing I need is a cooling problem. My temp gauge is already running a lil over middle, I think because of a sticking thermostat, so I was going to do a complete flush and fan conversion at the same time.

for the stock motor putting dual 15"s is a waste if u want to stop it overheating.
TRD thermostat, fresh Toyota Long-Life coolant, maybe some Redline Water Wetter (great product this) and flushing the system out and ur good to go for the hottest SoCal day.
and u do realize that both Lextreme and Retrodrive are in SoCal.....

Considering how much the fan clutch costs, isn't it better just to remove it and do the electric conversion? How many bottles of the Water Wetter do you guys use? I used one so far, it only made a little difference.

I heard some guys bought some flexalite dual 10" kits with shroud, but that looked like it just wasted surface space.
I'm thinking of going dual 14s or 15s if I can find them on partzfinders.com website, they look like they've been out of the 15s for a while...
...yea I know it's not really necessary, but it can't hurt can it? Only bad thing I see is more draw on the alternator.
