hey i was wondering if anybody else has this problem i have a 94 ls and when i push on the brakes in overdrive when the transmission downshifts it shifts pretty hard but if i downshift with the o/d button it shifts fine all the other shifts are fine as well its just the shift down from o/d any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

check trans mounts.

otherwise its an internal transmission issue.

 

but why would it not shift hard when just pushing the button if it was an internal problem?????

 

solenoid wiring? idk.

but 1st thing id check would be trans mounts.

 

Whats your mileage? Condition of tranny fluid meaning is it dark or light? Smell burnt at all?

 

Try checking your trans fluid level and quality. Transmissions do all kinds of strange weird things if the levels are off.

yeah i had the tranny flushed at toyota thinking that might be it but it still does it
