Helpful web site for maint. and my new car
Ran accross this site before buying my 94 LS400.. Really helpful. He has all sorts of tips, and has step by step photos of repairs on most of the common things.
http://www.lexls.com/
BTW here is my new ride.. Just got it on Mon... then had to go back out on the road.. for 2 weeks.. only got to drive it a little.
It's got 169K on it, paid $4700. It has the maint history back to 02, had a timing belt change 1K ago at Lexus they did it all, idlers, W Pump, Tentioner. Before that they changed all the brakes rotors and pads and master cyl. there was some sort of malfunction that caused damage to the rotors. Have all the oil change receipts too.
These are the photos the dealer took for the add. I will take better ones when I get back

Hope the site helps out.

Thanks guys. I really love it, I have been a fan of the LS since my Dad got one in 90, then turned in the lease and got a 92. He had that one till 96. Just an amazing machine then and now... There are still very few cars that are as nice driving as the LS. AND have the Toyota reliabilty. My buddy was telling me that Consumer Reports rated the LS the most reliable used car you can buy. Stating that an 8 year old LS was more reliable then a 06 Mercedes.
Only issues I have with my car is a malfunctioning dash in VERY cold temps. (Mr Wizard) will be getting it eventually. And I have a slight oil leak I think from the rear main seal... I had that repair priced out before I bought it... so I knew what I was getting into. There is a local import repair shop that I have used in the past, that I trust and has done great work at good prices. He has been in the same location for over 30 years. He will do the oil seal for $535 parts and labor, + $95 if I want the front trans seal changed while it is out... DUHH!!! NO BRAINER!!!
If you live in the Cincinnati area I highly recomend going to "Withers Imports" on Vine St. For any repairs you need done.
My girlfriend is currently driving my car. And will have put 600 miles on it by the time I get home.
Thanks for all the help.. and support this site provides.
