I am going to replace my old tires and I'll tell what's confusing me.
When I first purchased my car, it had I think a 16" on the rims.
Then my dad installed a 15" and they were horrible on highways above 60 Miles Can you beleive that
(Fu**ing Chinese brand)
Now I am reading that the stock's are 205/65-15 but every one tells me that a brand is better than the other and I don't know what to go for. My country temperature is 45'C average in summer and 25'C in winter and the streets suck with regular driving on mud and sand.
I am between Bridgestone and Yokohama.
Please convince me with your experiences..

If you do a search you'll find that the Michelin MXV4s and Bridgestone Turanzas are probably the 2 most popular choices.

These are very good tires. They wore well AND had excellent grip. It made my old car feel much tighter. Of course I had 17's on my old one. I plan on getting these tires in 245/45/18 soon.
Potenza RE960A/S Pole Position with UNI-T AQII -EDIT I didnt realize that it didnt take you directly to the tire. Search the size 206/65/15 and its your first tire.

I second the Turanzas. I had them before, now I'm running the Yokohama Avids and must say they don't even compare to the Turanzas. The turanza is a much more refined tire. I've also got Avid's on my Sienna and I hate them.

I put some Yoko Avid H4's on pops Saturn SL2 and it handles well and is quiet. It breaks away when expected and stops well. He's put about 22K and the tire is wearing evenly and nicely. A buddy also put these on another FWD and they like them also. The V4 would also be appropriate.
Depends on your Lex... I disliked the Michelin MXV4's. Granted they were quiet and wore well but traction was
My desire in a tire is one that grips well, stops and is resistant to hydro planing. The MXV4 I didn't find met that.
YMMV as they say.

I'm trying to talk my mom into gettting rid of the remaining 3 Dunlop SP Sport 4000 T on her 05 LE for Goodyear TripleTreds, we terminally popped 1 of those crappy Dunlops...Originally Posted by Suneet
