New in Town
hey all, thought I'd introduce myself. Recently purchased a 1994 LS400 with 138K miles for a whopping 4.5K, and there's a little work to be done to it. However, once I've solved the power steering problem, missing metal tube that runs from the intake manifold to the exhaust manifold (I think its called the VSV connector), an ignition that's wearing out, and some minor fixes...then I intend to start a good build on it. I expect I'll be looking here and at lextasy for ideas and tech tips, but for now I'm thinking of a true dual exhaust, a tranny shift kit (if it exists) and other upgrades. I plan on keeping it looking nice though...a good paint job and new wheels are being researched as well as some upgrades for the stereo while keeping it looking stock. No matter what I do to this car, I want it to appear original on the interior, this car was well-maintained for most of its life but towards the end some kid got ahold of it. I'm already in love with this car; even with a hole in my exhaust that I can stick a finger in. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone here.
Oh yeah...I saw somewhere someone asked what kind of money the owner was willing to put into thier car for upgrades. Honestly, the sky's the limit so long as I think I'll like the end result. I modded teh you-know-what out of a Jeep Cherokee. I put at least its value into it, so this isn't my first project though it is my first car project. So if you have any ideas or suggestions, send them my way! I'll be looking and listening.

Nah, the hole is just before the first cat on the right-hand side (from the driver's seat) its directly on the exhaust manifold. I'm fabbing a patch from galvanized steel today to put on it this weekend, until I can figure out just how much I have to remove to get the part inbetween the engine and the firewall.
Thanks for the warm welcome, I'll try to get some pics up soon!
