I hear noise when going over bumps on my 95 LS400
I bought is used and don't think the shocks have ever been replaced.

Give some details:
Mileage
Front or back of car
Thump coming from the floor board or somewhere else

There's lots of posts available here - I had a thump from the floor board - I read the posts available here and it was lower ball joints. Now it is fixed

170k miles. Sounds likes it's from the front.
I think that might be it also. I will go thru the suspension next week and examine it. Now I got a blinking ECT I gotta figure out why it's doing that.

You could check your tire wear on the front. My front inner sides were cupped. My local tire shop checked the front end (you could take yours to NTB or Tire Kingdom on FL) and found irregular play. Get it checked out before it costs you a pair of tires bro. I had to buy 2 new ones because of the lower ball joints.

Not sure why you'd get a blinking ECT light - somebody else will though.
