Default Power Steering???

Hello, guy..I just got the 92 ls400..it got power steering (slow) leak..I looked on the manual..it said use the transmission fluid Dexron II for it...but auto supply shop recommand the Dexron III (dexron II no longer product). can I use this for it? it's kinda red color fluid..but my old power steering fluid is light brown (like engine oil fluid). can I mix them together? or do I have to do a full power steering flush? if so, is there a guide for power steering flush/drain? thanks
