UCF10 Air Suspension
So as I understand the "1" rule, using your methodology, every 1/2 gen LS was a JDM product??
gen 1 - ucf 10 and ucf 11
gen 2- ucf 20 and ucf 21
gen 3 - ucf 30 and ucf 31
I dont think that is right at all. I have a ucf10 (92) and I know for a fact that LICelsior has a ucf11 (93) and neither one of our cars have air suspension. It was a dealer option here in the states.

I have a -94 LS400 with OEM air. All LS400 sold in Sweden had this.
Found this tread when I was searching to see if I could find some information about how the air suspension actually works. Does it contain any hydraulic shock absorber or is it integrated in the air strut? Or to put it in another way. Does the air only works as a spring or does it also work as a shock absorber. The reason why I ask is because I wounder if the air suspension can getting worse over time like a ordinary shock absorber. The information I have from earlier indicates that the air suspension will perform as good as new so long the bags can contain the air. But I want to confirm that this is true.
